A medium-bodied, medium ruby red wine with crimson hues. Aromas of dark cherry, dark plums, and beetroot juice. A lighter structured palate this year where elegance, finesse and drinkability are the dominant themes with a seamless fleshy mid-palate. Fresh dark plums, blackberry and Bing cherries. The palate finishes long with fresh acidity, chalky tannins, and a hint of oak.

"Cassis, liquorice, plum skin, bay leaf, black olive, cocoa dust, raspberry, savoury spice and some meaty reduction. Delicate core of midweight fruit with a refreshing fringe of savoury tomatillo skin, aniseed pastille and crushed graphite. Firm, slinky tannins and pristine acidity. Oak cocoons rather than cloaks. Very impressive length. This sings. The Parterre wines are fantastic value for the quality on offer."
