Parterre Chardonnay 2022

Aromas of Tahitian Lime and pink grapefruit, custard apple, pistachio nut, and pastry. Lovely vibrancy and tightly coiled but with a subtle sweetness to balance the acidity, quite salivating. Flavours of pink grapefruit and just picked nectarines, quite juicy in its intensity that lasts for minutes. Should develop further complexity with 10-12 years of careful cellaring.

"Tasted a whole raft of Chardonnay yesterday, which is usually a pleasure. Ginger and grapefruit, cedar and spice. Very zesty and citrus-laced acidity, spicy oak in tow, some almond to smooth things out, with a bright finish of good length. Not exactly flavour packed, though pleasingly brisk and energetic. It has the makings of something very good with more time in bottle."
